Hohenzollern Day

Sunday, 8 October 2023

Hohenzollern Castle invites you to this year's Hohenzollern Day on Sunday, October 8, 2023. From 10:00 am, the castle grounds and the royal chambers will be open throughout, so that visitors can explore them at will and at their own pace.

Fire & Water
This is the title of the Hohenzollern Day, in which all members of the Hohenzollern Places Network participate and each come up with an appropriate program to surprise their visitors:

  • The Bisingen fire brigade will have two fire engines on display in the castle courtyard for visitors of all ages to explore. The firefighters will be happy to answer all questions about the fire brigade. In addition, there will be one or the other fire brigade game .
  • In the farmyard there is the royal craft garden where little princesses and knights can make fire and water crowns.
  • Castle Master Dirk will offer special guided tours on the subject of water and water supply at the castle. For this, registration is required on site at the Visitor Info  .
  • Court juggler Klausi Klücklich will let his soapy water bubbles rise in the castle courtyard.
  • The Freiburg Spielmobil will be offering face painting for children and baking bread at the fire bowl.
  • A small troop of Prussian soldiers will patrol the grounds with long guns.
  • Storyteller Sigrid Maute will tell stories on the theme of "Fire & Water" in the Protestant chapel.

To ensure that the culinary side is not neglected, the castle restaurant and the castle beer garden offer all kinds of delicacies.
