Spring Awakening

Enjoy floral signs of spring at Hohenzollern Castle.

Information

"Spring lets its blue ribbon
flutter through the air again;
sweet, familiar scents
brush the land with anticipation.
Violets are already dreaming,
wanting to come soon.
Listen, a soft harp tone from afar!
Spring, yes, it's you!
I have heard you!"

In the spirit of Eduard Mörike’s poem, Hohenzollern Castle opens its doors daily, adorned with colourful decorations to mark the arrival of spring. Visitors are greeted by floral arrangements even in the grounds – weather permitting. And things get really colourful inside the museum galleries. Colourful decorations wherever the Easter Bunny hops. The historic dining table in the Count’s Hall, for instance, is a magnificent sight. Twelve metres long and laid with golden table centrepieces that once adorned Emperor Wilhelm II’s table. And in the other museum rooms too, such as the Margrave’s Room, the Blue Salon or the Prince’s Apartment, Easter decorations await visitors. They can explore the museum rooms at their own pace, without a guided tour. Helpful staff are on hand to provide explanations, and the free castle app also offers informative guidance.

During the Easter holidays, children can make their exploration of the castle even more exciting with a castle quiz. There is also a small prize for the correct answer.
