Hohenzollern Days

"Family Ties" is the motto of this year's Hohenzollern Days, in which all members of the Hohenzollern Places Network are taking part and have each come up with a corresponding programme.

The programme at Hohenzollern Castle:

• The group “Le Bouquet Coloré”, dressed in period costume, will be strolling around the castle grounds and will be happy to pose for selfies.

• Art historian Dr Marco Rasch will introduce visitors to 19th-century courtly dance – with opportunities for young and old alike to join in.

• The Bisingen-Steinhofen Chess Club will offer an insight into the ‘game of kings’, including tips and tricks for an elegant checkmate.

• At Ashanti’s Princess Express, children can have their faces painted in imaginative designs.

• At the calligraphy pavilion, visitors can try their hand at the art of beautiful handwriting.

• Fritz von Tafelspitz and his fellow Prussian soldiers are setting up camp at the gate tower.

• In the Royal Craft Garden, children can make little crowns and bracelets, as well as design their own family tree and coat of arms.

• Court jester Klausi Klücklich sends giant and tiny soap bubbles soaring into the sky.

• On Saturday, author Monika Küble will present her new book "Die Burg Hohenzollern. Eine kleine Kulturgeschichte" (German language).

• The museum galleries will be open all day as part of the ‘Royal Stroll’.

To ensure that the culinary side is not neglected, the castle restaurant and the castle beer garden offer all kinds of delicacies.
