Table delights from the time of Frederick the Great

A culinary and exclusive evening in the style of the great Prussian king.

Information

Frederick the Great is the most famous king from the Hohenzollern dynasty. He is known, among other things, because he formed Prussia into a major European power, because he was an outstanding composer and transverse flute player and: because he trained as a brewer and introduced the potato to his country. With his “Tartuffel orders”, he forced the cultivation of this new tuber crop, which then began its triumphal march throughout Europe. This evening is dedicated to the great Prussian king in culinary terms. And each course is accompanied by an exciting story from his life.

After a Prussian Pilsener reception, guests can look forward to a delicious 4-course menu:

“The Battle of Kunersdorf”
Berlin-style calf's liver with apple and onion rings
Lamb's lettuce with potato vinaigrette

“A royal greeting from East Prussia”
Königsberger Klops | boiled potatoes

“Alkmene's and Hasenfuß' favorite dish”
Roast beef with mustard herb crust | young rosemary potatoes |
broad beans | spicy beer sauce

“Sanssouci”
Mousse au Cholcolat in black and white | fresh fruit

The evening will be musically framed by Michael Sisto, guitar and vocals.
